Mixing Seasons?

Something I struggle with is battling my urge to completely overhaul my closet for every new season. Besides the basics I always feel the need to buy a ton of trendy items, and once those trendy items are out of style you can kiss them goodbye. Sooo what do you do when you're transitioning from Summer to Fall and you don't have lots of money to spend on a new wardrobe? You multi-task (or should I say style) your items!

All you need is a Spring dress and some Fall basics (sweaters, leather boots, chunky scarves) to get more out of your closet. So take one of your dresses, it could be floral, lacy, whatever, and pair it with an oatmeal colored cardigan. Then take a chunky knit scarf and loop it around your neck twice (infinity scarves look best, but if you don't have one you can tie the corners of a regular scarf together and voila!). Pairing your Spring dress with some textured pieces instantly add a cozy feel to the outfit. Finish off with some leather riding boots or suede booties and you're done!

You don't need a whole new wardrobe every season, you just have to be smart about what you already have!

P.S If you're going out at night pair that Spring dress with a fur (preferably faux) vest and some maroon pumps for a Fall appropriate look.
