Spreading the Love
I think it's important to remember the people who inspire us. For me, starting my blog was all a matter of my best friend starting a blog. But what inspired be to be a fashion blogger is all the fashion blogs that I follow already. The lovely ladies have amazing style and I just love them. I'm going to link my favorites so you all can check them out! And don't forget, if you have a dream of doing something that you see other people doing, it's never too late to try it out! What better time than the present?

Mixing Seasons? Spring dress turned Fall
Mixing Seasons? Spring dress turned Fall by vogue-confessionals
Turn your Spring dress from flirty and airy to comfy and cozy! Getting more bang for your buck by transitioning your seasonal items from one season to the next.
Mixing Seasons?
Something I struggle with is battling my urge to completely overhaul my closet for every new season. Besides the basics I always feel the need to buy a ton of trendy items, and once those trendy items are out of style you can kiss them goodbye. Sooo what do you do when you're transitioning from Summer to Fall and you don't have lots of money to spend on a new wardrobe? You multi-task (or should I say style) your items!
All you need is a Spring dress and some Fall basics (sweaters, leather boots, chunky scarves) to get more out of your closet. So take one of your dresses, it could be floral, lacy, whatever, and pair it with an oatmeal colored cardigan. Then take a chunky knit scarf and loop it around your neck twice (infinity scarves look best, but if you don't have one you can tie the corners of a regular scarf together and voila!). Pairing your Spring dress with some textured pieces instantly add a cozy feel to the outfit. Finish off with some leather riding boots or suede booties and you're done!
You don't need a whole new wardrobe every season, you just have to be smart about what you already have!

What to Wear Where
It's tricky when you're trying to look casual and outdoorsy without looking like you're going to be taking a hike. This weekend I'm going up to the mountains with my family for lunch and a look around in the national parks nearby. No hiking, just some sightseeing from the car and path. But I still want to look cute, just not overdone. So this got me thinking, what am I going to wear?
Starting out with the basic jeans and a tee concept would be perfect, because that is the one outfit everyone sees as being casual. But a plain fitted tee and bootcut or straight leg jean isn't going to cut it; you wouldn't catch me dead in that. So I've come up with a different interpretation of jeans and a tee. A loose fitting deep scoop neck tee is both comfortable and a lot cuter. Choose one in a crisp white and you're top is done. Pair that top with a boyfriend jean in a dark distressed wash and cuff them at the bottom for a more tailored look. So far the top and bottom are pretty plain, but the attention to the details of the items are what make it more stylish. But you can't leave the house without some jewelry. I'd suggest adding a colorful necklace and an assortment of bracelets to add some texture. Also, don't forget your sunglasses! Finish off the look with a pair of striped t-strap sandals and you're looking casual and cute!
Hope this helps you when you're deciding what to wear where.

I Have Nothing To Wear
You know that feeling when you open your closet and you think to yourself "I have nothing to wear"? When in reality you have tons of clothes, and you're just being picky. And it's just my luck that every single time I think to myself "I have nothing to wear" I'm always in a rush. I could just be easy and throw on a pair of black skinny jeans and a blouse and be done with it, but that just isn't how it works. My outfit has to be perfect. I have to feel like wearing it. So by the time I've decided what to wear it's been 10 minutes and I look in the mirror. Then realize that I wore the exact same outfit last week. Ok that's not going to work. So I take my top off and throw on a different one, much easier of a process the second time around.
I just don't understand why this is such a problem, who care what we wear or if we wore the same outfit last week? I care more than anyone does. Kids in Africa don't spend 10 minutes trying to decide what to wear so why do we? I personally think that I'm emotionally connected to my clothes so if they aren't "speaking" to me then I just can't stand to wear it.
Another one of my problems from a long long list...
